If all else fails just buy a small lamb shank and use that. If you buy bone-in it shouldn't come to much more than $6. (I know there's a preconception that it's an expensive meat, but cheap cuts can be had)

If you end up doing that you're going to want to increase cooking time to around an hour of slow cooking, obviously, and hold off adding the noodles until it's done.
